While COVID is the current word that comes out before any meeting or event discussion. But staying in business still requires you to get out there and stay in front of your customers/clients! Promotional items are always needed in the business of a customer "touch" marketing program that is or should be a part of every business. While the current top sellers are PPE, let's talk about getting back to keeping in touch with your customers/clients.
The 2019 trending items were still pretty much on trend for the past few years. The rankings change as the time of year changes and will dictate which one will go to the top of the ratings chart that month. But the items will still be the top items almost every year...short of COVID and PPE required items.
To remember why you should consider the top 10 items, read what item is at the top and how it could work for you.
T-shirts are always a great brand builder and one of the biggest and relatively cheapest ways to brand. With a professional logo on the front left chest and the back of the shirt billboard to grab attention. Great way to reach a lot of people for the investment.
Drinkware is always a go to because it will be sitting out on your customers desk and they are long lasting. People do love a good tumbler or mug. These start topping the trending chart as you get into the Holiday Season.
Brandable Polo and Sports Shirts rank really high and most notably for corporations! These are considered great company employee branding and event branding for the same reason as the T-shirt, but typically these are a little higher in the marketing dollar territory.
Bags and totes will be the forever item for a lot of reasons. One is because every time someone is going somewhere and needs something larger to carry the items for an outing or event...they will pull out the branded bags/totes they received to help carry the load. They are a great item to hold swag items and drawstring bags have a huge following for most events.
Baseball caps are as All American as Apple Pie! From showing the love of sports teams, or a themed event...and who doesn't love those little leaguers in their caps. So many companies have invested in their company branding to include a baseball cap for an event or part of their corporate day to day business dress for employees. Think themed on this item here...it has so many ideas that you will always hit a homerun on your branding.
Writing instruments are and always will be part of every marketing plan. When I do corporate bids you can count on a low cost pen for general giveaway and a 2nd nicer pen for regular customers to remember your company. Some really nice pens go to the very special customers and are never just a throw in the drawer pen.
All outerwear is more of the upper end of apparel representing your logo most of the time representing your company through Corporate apparel for day to day at some companies.
These will be more prestigiously perceived than a T-shirt giveaway.
Tech items are always changing, but a good USB still takes the cake as earbuds have dwindled due to the change of incompatible adapters to newer technology coming out constantly.
Phone cleaners are starting to pick up since COVID hit!
Desk/Office supplies have really been kicking up in 2020 due to everyone having to supply their desk items at home. No supply closet to go to in a COVID stay at home world. But sending out these items is pretty smart. Just a simple 25 sheet post it note can go out in the mail! Use these items as a warm "touch" program to stay in contact with the people you would normally go out on sales calls at their office of for your employees to let them know they are missed! A mailable item can go away and a lot of my suppliers are willing to personalize the item and mail direct to your reps or clients.
